About Girls in Tech Gibraltar
The Girls in Tech Gibraltar team consists of 6 dedicated members from diverse backgrounds. Our goal is to provide quality training and events for the local Gibraltarian community and help uplift and support both women and men aspiring to advance themselves in the technology fields.
Our chapter launched in June 2017 headed by our Managing Director, Cristina Turbatu. She was joined by our then co-Managing Director, Peter Mareš, and together they formed the basis of what Girls in Tech Gibraltar is today. In January 2020, Peter stepped back into an advisory role and Karen Mareš stepped up as co-Managing Director along side Cristina. The team is rounded off with Kerrie Evans, our finance manager; Agata Zwan, who heads up the project management for the team; Teresa Rebelo, our social media manager and Christina Giuffré our comms manager.
