The 8th edition of the Women in Gaming Awards took place last week, on the 12th of May 2017. We have to give special attention to this event because it recognises the female talent within Gaming and iGaming. In case you’re new to Gibraltar, iGaming is one of the most prominent industries in the area and it’s always good to see that there is a focus on acknowledging the women in the industry with outstanding achievements.

The event is described as: a superb opportunity for employers to recognise female team leaders within their organisation and their contribution to the success of the business. This year’s edition focused on 16 categories such as “Industry Pride of the Year”, “Outstanding contribution” or “Hidden Talent of the Year”. The competition was stiff and admirable women in the industry have been nominated for their contributions to the businesses they are part of.

We’re delighted to mention one award in particular – the “Leader of the Year (iGaming)” award. This award was taken home by Shelly Suter-Hadad. When asked what the prize meant for her, this is what Shelly said: “Acknowledgement, pride for my team that supported me so much in the last 9 years and a nice trophy to bring back home.”

While we’re excited that she was recognised for great achievements in her role as a COO and Managing Director in Mansion Group Limited, we’re even more excited that … <drum roll> … she accepted to be a part of our launch event’s panel. Her reputation, vast experience and knowledge precede her and we’re glad to have her with us to share her points of view.

Congratulations Shelly, and see you on the 1st of June!
